In 2015, our team gained Michelle Gardy, with a degree in business and management from Southwest Texas State University. She is a driven tax drafter with a passion for learning. We love how she is always acquiring new skills and her diligent meticulousness when drafting returns. Add to that the kindness and care with which she treats our clients, and it’s no surprise that she has become indispensable to our Tax Process Manager. She is heavily involved in volunteer work while balancing her steady workload and active family. She’s survived multiple tax seasons with us and we’re so grateful for all that she adds to our tax team!

Lisabeth Yeager started at Sweeten in July 2018 and graduated from Southwestern University with a B.A. in History and Sociology. Though she started doing accounting in Austin by accident, she found a passion for it and went back to school for her CPA in 1993. Her flexibility and love of the art of accounting make her a great fit for the firm. She brings over 20 years of experience working for The State of Texas in the Lottery Commission, an intense and rewarding career where she was Chief Accountant, overseeing the complex and nuanced lottery accounting procedures! Now, she lives on an 84 acre ranch where she enjoys her horses and dogs, as well as the occasional early morning of fishing.
Gretchen Gibson came onto Sweeten CPA in the summer of 2019 and enjoys the varied client tax work, as well as working with the wonderful staff. She is a proud Bobcat and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Southwest Texas (now Texas State). Her over forty years of tax experience and expertise in QuickBooks and Excel make her an invaluable team member with a wealth of knowledge. She was voted funniest in her graduating class in high school, which her dachshunds have all agreed with, but her three grown sons don't truly appreciate.
