About Us
Michele Sweeten
A CPA since 1992, Michele Sweeten is degreed from the University of Maryland, and worked four years with Deloitte & Touche in San Antonio. She has a wide range of experience, from auditing, to tax preparation, to teaching accounting courses, to consulting on Peachtree and QuickBooks. She is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor,
and has a thriving practice of small business clients in many industries, including construction, retail, small manufacturing, consulting,
gourmet food preparation, publications, and schools. Among her local clients are:

Jackie Sweeten
Jackie has been with the firm since 2003. Not only is she the Accounting Services Manager of the CPA office,
but she also is generally in charge of making everyone happy.
She worked for 12 years in San Antonio and Houston at various firms in the legal
department as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant. With a long history of excellence in administration, she has added to her skills a knowledge of QuickBooks, ProSeries tax software,
human resources procedures, online registration and filings for quarterly
payroll, besides the fact that she can find absolutely anything on the internet! From bookkeeping to customer
and vendor relations, she is the glue that holds us together!
Meredith Schrup
Meredith is a QuickBooks specialist, whose work experience has been wide and varied. She began working with the QuickBooks software about
seven years ago, and though she is basically self-taught (how many of our
clients can relate to that!), she has added formal instruction in the software
to her own base of knowledge, and now is an expert in resolving QuickBooks
issues. She has worked with Michele since 2003, and in that time has designed detailed job costing
systems, converted payroll systems, reconciled QuickBooks POS to its QuickBooks
retail companion, mastered QuickBooks for Mac and became proficient at ProSeries
tax software. She is a ready and able consultant, whom we are grateful to include on our team!
Ann Brooke Ann has a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from
Oklahoma State University. She worked for several years in
Dallas and Houston in the Insurance Industry underwriting property
insurance for large risk Oil and Gas property risks. Ann
completed the Accounting Series at Austin Community College in 2006
and was hand-picked by Michele to join our firm as a bookkeeper.
Amorette Maroney
Amorette has been with the firm since 2008 and knows how to untangle the most disorganized set of books ever!
She has experience with QuickBooks and with various bookkeeping tasks. Everything from sorting through
a clients receipts to entering and reconciling the data in QuickBooks. She drafts tax returns and then uses
her knowledge of those tax returns to help our small business customers to set up their chart of accounts for
ease of use and integration during
the tax return process. She is exceptionally friendly and easy to work with!
Lori Wasson
Lori is our Office Manager. She handles all the timesheets, invoicing, and internal bookkeeping for the firm.
She helps keep us all organized! She has been with us since 2008 and we can't do without her now!
Mindy Merrill
Mindy Merrill is a degreed accountant who joined our firm in 2010. She has a masters degree
in Accounting from Brigham Young University, and a variety of accounting and tax job experiences
that make her a real asset to the firm. She adds a technical expertise to our mix of skill sets
that allows us to provide professionals at all levels for our clients' needs.
